There is some confusion about who Nellie is. Some researchers have her maiden name as Nellie Angel and others have Nellie Duffy.

A death certificate for Nellie Laport has her father as unknown and her mother as Mary Angle. The date of birth on the death certificate is 22 January 1891 and the date of death is 21 March 1922.

According to Find-a-Grave, the wife of Vetal Nicolas LaPorte was Nellee Angel and the dates on the tombstone are 21 March 1892 to 21 December 1921, although the memorial gives her date of birth as 21 March 1891.
