Edith Eleanor Powers Lohman October 6, 2007 Edith Eleanor Powers Lohman, 87, of Iowa Falls, died on Monday, October 1, 2007, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Memorial services were held on Thursday, October 4, at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Edith Eleanor Powers Lohman, was born on July 9, 1920 at Lamar, Colorado, the daughter of Edgar and Eva (Neil) Moore. The family moved to Indianola where Edith received her education, graduating from the Indianola High School in 1936 and Simpson College in 1940. She was united in marriage to Don Powers on August 24, 1941 at Indianola. Following his death in 1982, she was united in marriage to Francis Lohman on June 14, 1989 at Jackson County, Missouri. Edith was a member of the Highland Golf Club and enjoyed spending time on the course when her health permitted. Survivors include her two sons, Richard M. Powers and wife, Betty L. Jensen of San Carlos, California and Gary R. Powers of Iowa Falls; grandchildren, Robert D. Powers of Vancouver, British Columbia, Jason M. Powers and wife, Jamie of Iowa City, Jessica Powers of Iowa Falls and Marianna Powers of Lefkada, Greece; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn H. Powers and Martin J. Powers, both of Iowa City.
