RICHARD "DICK" SCHAFFER, 74, of Spring passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. Mr. Schaffer was born in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Harold and Kathryn Hinkle Schaffer. Graduate of Central Missouri State University and a resident of Texas since 1978 having moved to Pasadena with Western Sizzlin Restaurant, in 1988 he and his wife opened the Potatoe Patch Restaurant on FM 1960. His family continues to serve the community. Dick is survived by his loving family, wife of almost 54 years, Carolyn; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Schaffer and Alex Roland, Meredith and Charles Brock; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kay Schaffer; brother, Herb Adams; sister, Verna McKenzie; 12 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 28th, at Calvary Hill Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 29, 2010 at Spring Baptist Church, 1027 Spring Cypress, with Rev.
