Obituary: Mr. Morrow died Friday afternoon, July 24 at the Fairmont Community Hospital. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m - noon Monday at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Welcome and one hour prior to services at the church. Donald Glen Morrow was born January 24, 1927, the son of Glen and Sophie (Schock) Morrow, near Welcome. He graduated from District #90 in Manyaska Township, Martin County and later attended Welcome Public School.After school, he moved with his parents to a farm near Guckeen. Donald was united in marriage to Patricia Meyer on November 30, 1947 in Ceylon. They began farming in 1955 near Welcome in Fraser Township until moving to a farm in Galena Township, rual Trimont in 1967. They continued farming until 1986 when due to ill health they retired and moved into Welcome. Donald was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fairmont and was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Besides farming he was employed part-time for the Trojan and Jacques Seed Company and also grew seeds for them. Besides his family his big enjoyment in life was hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Welcome; three sons, Steve Morrow and wife Eileen, of rural Welcome, Dennis Morrow and wife, Debra, of Fairmont, Douglas Morrow and wife, Susan, of Mapleton; two daughters, Debra Sue Miller and husband, David, of Knoxville, Iowa and Beverly LIndsey and husband, Gregory, of Forest City, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Bergan and husband Fordes, of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ardith O'Green and two brothers who died in infancy.
