MRS. MARY J. FORSHEE:

Mrs. Mary Jane Forshee, nee Wells, daughter of the late Franklin and Susan Wells, was born in St. Francois County, Missouri on April 4, 1869, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lola Weible in Cantwell, on her 74th birthday, Sunday, April 4, 1943.

She was united in marriage in February, 1888, to John T. Forshee, who preceded her in death. They were the parents of nine children, four of whom also are deceased. The surviving children are: Amiel and Geoff Forshee and Mrs. Pearl McCoy of St. Louis; Lester Forshee of Festus; Mrs. Lola Weible and Mrs. Edith Harris of Cantwell.

She also leaves seven sisters: Mrs. May Madison of Danville, Ill.; Mrs. Bertha Jarrells of Elvins; Mrs. John Murphy and Mrs. Susan Patterson of Desloge; Mrs. Birdie Larose of Bonne Terre; Mrs. Maude Eaves of Fredericktown; and Mrs. Mattie Jarrells of Cantwell; a brother, Frank Wells of Cantwell; fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Her many virtues and her love and devotion to her family won for her the esteem of all who knew her. She professed faith in Christ early in life and had been a member of the Cantwell Baptist Church for many years. The faith which she professed she manifested in her daily life.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Cantwell Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. R. Watts, assisted by Rev. J. R. Wagoner of the Desloge church. Rev. and Mrs. K. H.
