WM. E. CUNNINGHAM

William E. Cunningham, well known Flat River man, died early Tuesday morning, June 1st, at Barnes Hospital, where he had been critically ill for a week, having undergone an operation on Monday, May 24th. He had been in failing health for five years. At the time of his death he was 60 years 3 months 19 days old.

The body was brought to his home in Flat River and funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon, June 4th, at the First Baptist Church in Flat River, of which he had been a member for many years. The Rev. A. C. Johnson of Farmington will conduct the services and will be assisted by the Rev. T. M. Estes of Esther. Special music will be in charge of Dr. L. M. Reaves. Burial will be at Parkview, in charge of Hood's Service.

William Ellis Cunningham, a son of the late Ellis B. and Martha Spradling Cunningham, was born in St. Francois County, Missouri, February 12, 1877. His marriage to Miss Delia Aubuchon took place in 1900. They were the parents of three children, one daughter, Audrey, having preceded her father in death in 1916.

He is survived by his widow and two sons, Milford Cunningham of St. Louis and Raymond Cunningham of Detroit; also two grandchildren, Juanita and Billy; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Edith Hall, Mrs. Maude Highley and Claude Cunningham, all of California; Mrs. Mattie Lemon of Irondale; Hardy Cunningham of Mount Vernon, Mo.; Sam and Carrie Cunningham of Tennessee.

In 1901 Mr. Cunningham started working for the Federal Lead Company and the past several years has been employed by St. Joseph Lead Company, where he served as machinist. He was well liked among his fellow workers and greatly loved by his family and friends.
