A message came yesterday that Mrs D. B. Kerlagon had passed away early yesterday morning at the home of her son, Clarence D. Kerlagon, in Kansas City , MO. following a stroke of paralysis a week ago, aged 71 years, 8 months and 9 days. the remains were brought here last evening to the Niedert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church here at nine o'clock Saturday morning by her pastor, Rev. Edward J. O'Toole. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Matilda Wichman was born on March 19, 1863 at Iron Mountain, MO, daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Hennon Wichman. On Feb 10, 1884, she united in marriage to David B. Kerlagon who preceded her in death on June 13, 1920. To this union three sons were born , William died in infancy, and Frederick J. on August 15, 1934. She is survived by one son, Clarence D. of Kansas City, and two grandsons; also one sister, Mrs. Mary Brown of San Antonio, Texas and a number of other relatives.
Mrs Kerlagon had lived most of her life in Farmington until last August following the death of her son Frederick J., she went to Kansas City to live with her only surviving son, Clarence D. A week before her death she sustained a stroke of paralysis involving her left side which time her condition steadily grew worse until the end came shortly after midnight yesterday morning.
All of her life she had been a devoted member of the Catholic church. She was a devoted wife and mother and a real friend. We join in deepest sympathy to the bereaved.
